Saturday, May 23, 2026, Humphreys County Cultural Museum welcomed the Humphreys County High School Class of 1986 to tour the museum. They were super excited to see all of the artifacts and exhibits on display. They left a donation of $500.00 for our scholarship fund in which we are very grateful. We thoroughly enjoyed the Class of 1986 and look forward to future visits.

In 2020, Humphreys County Cultural Museum recognized Dr. Robbye McNair as being the first African American Female OB-GYN from Belzoni. Fast forward to May 2026, Dr. McNair is still on the job of bringing life into the world and saving the life of one of her patient. A Chicago Mom gave birth via C-Section and kissed her newborn. Then she went into Cardiac Arrest. That’s when Dr. McNair and two other doctors performed life saving procedures to save her life! OB-GYN Dr. Robbye McNair, we’re very proud of you!

As Executive Director of the Humphreys County Cultural Museum, traveling with the Belzoni Diamond Youth Baseball Players , coaches, and parents to witness Jackson State University defeat Arkansas Pine Bluff was an amazing day of fun and excitement for our youth. The group received an overwhelming welcome from Coach Omar Johnson, his entire staff, and the entire team. Announcer, Rob Jay recognized the group in his television sports broadcast and invited them to sing “Take Me Out To The Ballgame “ in the bottom of the seventh inning. They did a great job! Thanks to everyone involved who helped provide this amazing opportunity for our youth!

May 13, 2026, Humphreys County Cultural Museum proudly awarded nine scholarships to Humphreys County High School Graduating Seniors, Class of 2026.
The following students successfully completed the application process and will receive a scholarship in the amount listed below:
