It’s Hamburger Day, and we’re celebrating one of the most loved ways to enjoy beef!

From backyard grills to family dinners, hamburgers bring people together, and they’re a perfect way to connect what we learn to what we eat.

Fire up the grill, try out this simple recipe, and don’t forget, safe cooking matters! Ground beef should always be cooked to 160°F for a safe and delicious meal.

And while you’re celebrating, stop by Mini Sota to keep the learning going through hands-on experiences that explore where beef comes from and how it gets to your plate.

Let’s celebrate beef, agriculture, and time spent together around the table!

Happy Fruit & Vegetable Day from Mini Sota! 🍎🥕🌽

From backyard gardens to farms across Minnesota, fruits and vegetables play an important role in feeding our communities and helping children better understand where their food comes from.

Did you know Minnesota grows more than 60 different fruits and vegetables and ranks in the Top 10 nationally for crops like sweet corn and green peas? Agriculture connects us to the food on our tables and the world around us in so many ways.

At Mini Sota, we’re bringing the pages of Anywhere Farm by Phyllis Root to life through our upcoming Community Container Garden and Seed Library projects—helping show children and families that growing can happen almost anywhere.

🌱 Our Community Container Garden project is being supported through GroMoreGood Grassroots funding.

🌿 Our Seed Library project is funded by Countryside Public Health.

These projects will help create even more opportunities for children and families to explore agriculture through hands-on learning and real-world growing experiences.

Come explore, learn, and grow with us!
