Movie cowboy, Ken Maynard was born on July 21, 1895. Though he started in silent pictures, he was able to move into "talkies" and actually became the first singing cowboy. Unfortunately, Maynard wasn't a great singer so a new guy named Gene Autry was brought in to be the singing cowboy and the rest is history. These photos are part of the Ken Maynard displays at the Prairie Rose Chuckwagon Supper's Silver Screen Cowboy Museum.
