In May of 1971, 235 members of the class of 1971 walked across the stage to receive their diplomas from Howard Perrin, Superintendent of the Benton school district. This weekend, the class will celebrate its 55th reunion with activities at the Benton Athletic Memorial Museum and the high school.

Cindy Bowden, left, President of the Benton Athletic Memorial Museum Board of Directors, presents an appreciation plaque to BHS Senior 2026 Jenna Collins for creating a design to use for the front of a commemorative coin given in conjunction of our 2025 Tricennial Celebration.

The plaque also includes the names of Seniors 2025 Isabella Jernigan and Karolina Castro. All three were winners of the BAMM Logo Competition for our 30th Anniversary.

Karolina's design was used on the back of the coin and also on commemorative cups given at our 2026 Wall of Fame Banquet. Isabella's design was placed on the BAMM 30th Anniversary t-shirts sold to support our scholarship program. Jenna's logo was our top winner, used on banners, letterhead, and social media 2025-2026.

Congratulations to all of these talented Benton High School students!

The BAMM Board of Directors spent the evening setting up for our Benton Athletic Memorial Museum Annual Wall of Fame 2026. 🐾🐾🐾
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at Benton High School Cafeteria... doors open at 5PM for a Meet-and-Greet, dinner is at 6PM.
Join us as we celebrate 30 years of fundraising for the Tom and Betty Hardin Scholarship Program and honor our new inductees into the Wall of Fame!

BENTON — The Benton Athletic Memorial Museum continued its Tricennial Celebration on Sunday with the dedication of the Big Black Panther, a wooden cutout now displayed in the museum’s foyer.
