Ballet/ Bridal Bodice week!
6/8-6/12, 10 AM – 4 PM with Abra Berman.
This class that will take you through the process of designing and building a classic ballet/bridal bodice from fit to finish. At the end of this week-long class, you will have a fully fashioned bodice, suitable for a ballet costume or a traditional bridal/formalwear gown!
This class will be part one of a two-part series. The second class installment will be focused on designing and building a classical Russian tutu or a romantic tutu. The classes can be taken individually or as a series. Register online or call the shop!

Together we will go through the basics of hand-sewing and some important period construction details. We will discuss variations to wear over a hoop, replace it entirely, or modernized versions for goth glamour and more!
This class is aimed at beginning stitchers, but is suitable for anyone who needs new undergarments.

Vendor spotlight for Marriage à la Mode: An Avant-Garde Wedding Trunk Show. May 2nd 11am-5pm. 2982 Adeline St. Berkeley. Rachael Heiman graduated from the California College of the Arts in 2018 and has spent the last decade working as a Bay Area Production Designer and Fabricator specializing in historical recreation costumes for opera and musicals. Their individualized BFA melded textiles, sculpture, and fashion. They use their fine art background to create q***r couture accessories; specializing in sculptural bowties and ties, ornate boot chains, and stained glass. They enjoy breathing new life into vintage and found objects in their work to remain environmentally friendly and prioritize reuse. Come and see Rachel’s wearable sculptures and how they can transform your day!
