Offered in six cohort locations in Fall 2026, the Michigan Conservation Stewards Program encompasses eight dynamic weeks of professional-level instruction, local field experiences, an applied capstone project with a local mentor, and so much more.

We at the Card/Riley Center are thrilled (yes, actually thrilled) to partner with MSU Extension 4-H, Muskegon River Watershed Assembly, and Mecosta Conservation District to launch a brand-new 4-H special interest club for youth in our community!

Get ready to make a splash with Dive Into Discovery: Watersheds & Conservation, kicking off for the very first time this May. Youth ages 8+ are invited to jump into hands-on, in-the-field adventures where learning doesn’t just happen in a classroom—it happens in boots, by the water, and maybe even a little mud.

Come curious… and don’t be afraid to get your feet wet!
