On another level, working intentionally with art processes can invite us into a deeper understanding of ourselves. At the Art Barn Studio, opportunities are available for those who desire to work within an Expressive Arts framework for personal growth and insight. An Expressive Arts approach to art-making is grounded in the premise that art-making and creative expression are natural and accessible to all human beings. Engaging in acts of creative expression fosters self-exploration, personal growth, and optimal well-being. Expressive Arts experiences do not require any previous art experience or training, and emphasize the process over the product.

Here a link for my fall offerings. As the world around us unravels, it may feel self-indulgent to give yourself the gift of time for creativity. But quite to the contrary, spending time apart for contemplative creativity may be exactly what could soften your own heart, and by extension, contribute to healing of the wounded world.
