Newman at night film screenings

Newman at night film screenings Watch classic films under the stars at Newman Library. These events are free to all, and all are welcome.

Periodically, we pull select titles from the library's 16mm film collection and put them on display in our front yard, facing Torgersen Hall. Pets are welcome too, as long as they're crowd-friendly. Information about these events can be found on this page, and the Virginia Tech Libraries page. Virginia Tech's Newman Library has a 16mm film collection of approximately 1600 titles. This col

lection has been built over the last 60 years, and contains films on subjects ranging from agriculture to metallurgy to war as well as several feature films. There are also several films in the collection that were produced on campus at VT in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.
