Early County Museum, Inc. The museum of Early County Georgia seeks to educate visitors about its history. Artifacts stretch from pre-historic to current events.

The Early County Museum encompasses the history, artifacts, and culture of Early County, Georgia. We have grown from one building to a total of five, including an agriculture exhibit and a community education building. The museum is free to the public with donations accepted. Our goal is to preserve as much of the history of Early County as we can and to provide the public an accurate look into its past.

We will be open for visitors tomorrow! Also, next week we will be having some renovations done in room 1 and 4, but I will have the front door in room 3 open. Visitors will still be able to walk through rooms 2 and 3.

Our 2026 Membership Drive is now in full swing! This year all members will be able to register for any of our paid classes at a discounted registration fee. At the link below you can find the membership form as well as a newsletter on events we did in 2025. If you'd like to submit your form online, you can fill it out and email it to [email protected] and you can send your fees and donations online through the second link I have attached. You can also mail forms and checks or bring them directly to the museum.

The quilting ladies will be drawing the quilt raffle tomorrow at 1:30 at the library. If you have any unturned in tickets you can bring them to the library at 1:15.

We will be closed Thursday/Friday this week, but be open Monday-Wednesday 8:30-5:30. Come visit us and see all our Christmas decorations up! Maybe do some early Christmas present shopping in our gift shop, or buy a raffle ticket for our Quilt Raffle which will be drawn on December 17.
