During America’s 250th anniversary, we celebrate how immigrants have shaped American art and culture with our newest focus exhibition, Migration and Memory: Three Immigrant Artists. Featuring the work of Marc Klionsky, Gunther Aron, and Hannelore Baron, Jewish artists who fled the N**i and Soviet regimes for the United States, the exhibition’s opening also coincides with Jewish American Heritage Month in May. Explore the focus exhibition now through Sunday, November 29.

Mulyana: Vital Ecosystems o-fish-ly closes on Sunday, June 28. 🐟 Plan your visit to the Eskenazi Museum of Art to experience Mulyana’s fantastical reimagining of a biodiverse reef environment and encounter an assemblage of textile corals, fish, and other aquatic life alongside coral-encrusted figures and monster-like creatures that collapse distinctions between people and nature.

The Eskenazi Museum of Art’s featured exhibition Mulyana: Vital Ecosystems was activated in this live performance featuring Mulyana’s coral-encrusted costume, Form of Silence. 🪸

Performed by Utam Moses, dancer, performance artist, and Adjunct Professor in IU’s Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance. With accompaniment on upright bass by Brendan Keller Tuberg.
