The Columbus Chapel and Boal Mansion Museum are a National Historic Site near State College PA and Penn State University telling the story of A

merica as seen through eight generations of the Boal family and their ancestors including Columbus, Napoleon and Richard Henry Lee (signer of the Declaration of Independence). The site includes the centuries-old Columbus Chapel, inherited and imported to Boalsburg from Spain in 1909 and containing the Admiral's Desk of Christopher Columbus, fine European paintings and statues and two pieces of the True Cross of Jesus.

Memorial Day is here!!
Join us for the festival on the grounds from 10-4. Music, kids activities, museum tours, history reenactors, horse and carriage rides, and a “For You” patriotic play in the Boal Barn at 11&2.

Be sure to visit our neighbors Boal City Brewing Co. when you visit today! Parking is $10 today; all proceeds benefit our nonprofit museum!

It’s the eve of the Memorial Day Festival at Boal Mansion at the Boal Estate. “Waddle” on over for a great day of tours, carriage rides, performances with Class Act Productions, JTBlues/Paul Takac/Bellefonte Community Band on the porch, and more…the forecast looks great, btw!

The Boalsburg parade couldn’t be stopped by a little rain! So excited to see so many of our friends and neighbors involved in this year’s fantastic parade. We even spotted Paul Takac, who will be speaking at our Memorial Day Festival at Boal Mansion at 11:30 on Memorial Day on the porch of the Boal Mansion!

We are proud to announce that Running Springs Farm, LTD horse drawn Cinderella Carriage rides will be providing the horse and carriage rides at this year’s Memorial Day Festival at Boal Mansion!
