On May 28, 1970, the Boundary County Free Library was given the book "Under all is the Land." It featured text by Bruce Ramsey and photography by Ted Czolowski.
โ€œUnder all is the Landโ€ is a famous real estate philosophy that originated as the opening line of the National Association of Realtors' (NAR) Code of Ethics Preamble. The phrase was used as the title for the 1969 hardcover pictorial coffee-table book. The book was a perfect addition to any travel enthusiast's collection of travel guides.
Bill Johnston (left) worked for Shelman Realty and was named "1970 Bonner-Boundary Realtor of the Year," and Don Kerby (right) chairman and member of the Idaho Real Estate Commission Board, presented a copy of the book "Under all is the Land" to Librarian Mrs. Don (Joyce) Schied as part of National Realtor Week and the national realtor's "Make America Beautiful" program.
The Boundary County Free Library, on May 28, 1970, was housed in the First National Bank Building on the corner of Main and Bonner streets. The second story was home to the Mason Lodge (which is still there today).

Over the past 3 weeks, the 4th Graders from Mt. Hall, Naples, and Valley View schools visited "their" Museum. They were told many historical stories: Miss Mary Hawkins' favorite sandwich to feed children, Theodore Roosevelt's hunt for Caribou in the Selkirks, Prehistoric Rock found at the mouth of Mission Creek, how to play the Kootenai Tribe's Stick Game, the Caribou that went to College, Miss Mouse gets scared and runs to hide, and the town's Blacksmith will pull your tooth! They enjoyed seeing all of their "4th Grade Land Survey Maps" on display; and they are excited to be a part of the America250 Exhibit (which will be in the Museum June4th-August29th).
Thank you to All the Volunteers and Teachers who helped with these "trips to the Museum."
