In Gallery One at BRAF, Boothbay artist Charles Nowell presents a collection of oil paintings inspired by the Maine landscape. Familiar coastal landmarks, dramatic sunrises and sunsets, and hyper-realistic still lifes demonstrate Nowell's keen eye for detail and deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the region.

The Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) is once again hosting the 2026 Boothbay Region Student Art Show. This much-anticipated spring tradition features an impressive collection of artwork by more than 400 students from across the region, spanning pre-K through 12th grade.

This year’s show brings together a remarkable range of artistic voices and mediums from Boothbay Region High School, Boothbay Region Elementary School, Southport Central School, Edgecomb Eddy School, and the Center for Teaching & Learning.
