There are times someone comes into the museum with an item that we have never laid eyes on...

This is where we are going to start asking you for your help!

A longtime Borger resident brought this in the other day and wondered if anyone had any information on it. If you know the history behind this hat please let us know! (he had bought a box full of hats at a garage sale and this hat was in the box!)

We appreciate your assistance!

Check out those Antelope Creek arrowheads!!!

The public often expresses surprise when we tell them the PPHM collection includes more than 2 million artifacts. What's even more surprising is the diversity in the size of our artifacts. Each of these tiny flint arrowheads counts as a single artifact. And our gigantic 22.5-foot Railroad Eclipse windmill is also a single artifact.

The arrowheads in this photo came from PPHM archaeologists' excavation of the ancient village sites of the Antelope Creek people in Hutchinson County, and may date back to the 12th century. This specific windmill was erected in 1916 on the Stewart Ranch in Sutton County.
