The Sports Museum Celebrating the Character (and Characters) of Boston Sports through exhibits and youth programs. Come visit us at TD Garden!

The Sports Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution housed in the TD Garden that has served Boston and New England for more than 37 years. At The Sports Museum, we celebrate the character of Boston sports -- the unique brand of teamwork, determination, responsibility, courage, fairness, and other qualities of character possessed by our teams and athletes that make Boston "The Greatest Sports City in America." Equally important, we use this distinctly rich heritage to help build character in kids so that they can stand strong in the face of drugs, violence, and other dangers. Our mission is to use sports to teach the values of leadership, respect, and cooperation to our youth. Over 20,000 students will participate this year in our educational programs that we deliver to that end, including Boston vs Bullies, Stand Strong, the Will McDonough Writing Contest and more. Introducing Patrick Morrison from Las Vegas, Nevada who will be running the NYC Marathon next weekend on behalf of the Boston vs Bullies program.

"I’ve really enjoyed seeing how many people have supported me throughout this process, whether it was donating, sharing my fundraiser, or just asking how training has been going. It’s been really rewarding to watch everything come together and to have a reason beyond myself to be running the marathon. The biggest challenge has probably been balancing the training and fundraising with work, travel, and everything else going on over the last several months. I’m excited to finally get to New York and experience race day after putting so much into getting there."

We're proud to cheer on our NYC Marathon Runners as they get ready to run next weekend! Introducing Tanmay Arora from NYC.

"With this being my first marathon, it has been a very rewarding and fun experience. Knowing that my efforts to complete a major milestone in my life are also supporting a cause I care about has pushed me through training. While training has been exciting knowing that the marathon gets closer each day, it can definitely be challenging pushing through fatigue while trying to build mileage, especially through the heat over the summer. With that said though, knowing what I’m building towards, not only in terms of the day itself but also supporting this cause pushes me through!"
