Nantucket Lightship/LV-112 The mission of the United States Lightship Museum (USLM) is to preserve and maintain Nantucket Light In 2010, we returned the ship to her homeport of Boston.

The United States Lightship Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated solely to preserving Nantucket Lightship / LV-112. With your support, LV-112 will be saved as a living tribute to maritime engineering, ingenuity and the incredible courage of its crew — who stayed on duty at all times, even in hurricanes, to guide other ships to safety. Nantucket Lightship/LV-112 recently celebrated her 90th birthday!

The Lightship was built after her predecessor, LV-117, was struck and sunk by RMS Olympic.

LV-112 spent decades guiding ships through east coast ports, and now calls Boston Harbor Shipyard & Marina home and welcomes visitors from around the world.
