Saxon's show Untold Fairytale features a performative photography series that explores motherhood, self-recreation, and the psychological weight of exile.⁠

Her monograph, The Book of Tales, an exquisite volume of visual folklore featuring 120 photographs from the project and including text inserts with original fairy tales written by the artist's daughter, Alisa Sakson.

Gordon Saperia is a lens-based artist whose practice reconsiders the natural world through imagined environments that blur the boundaries between memory and perception Based on both Boston and New York, he creates colorful fantasies that are assembled from photographs of places previously visited. Saperia's work is heavily influenced by memory and moments between wakefulness and sleep (hypnagogia), where fragments of place dissolve and recombine into intuitive and occasionally otherworldly terrains.

After graduating from Tufts University with a major in Biology, Saperia pursued a career in clinical medicine as an interventional cardiologist. Later he transitioned to the position of editor and ghost writer of cardiology content at an international publishing company.

His photographs have been included in juried and invitational exhibitions throughout Massachusetts and New York as well as photographic publications.

Ken Northup has been painting the landscape in oils for over 25 years. ⁠He is a “Signature Artist” of the Copley Society of Art, and a "Master Artist" and former Board of Directors member of the Cape Cod Art Center.⁠

His work has been mentioned favorably in the Boston Globe, and the American Art Collector and The Improper Bostonian magazines. Paintings by Northup hang in homes throughout the United States and in Europe. ⁠

He is represented by the Copley Society of Art and Renjeau Galleries in Natick, MA.⁠ Northup's work can be viewed at Fresh Paint and on his website: www.kennorthup.com.⁠

An artist statement provides valuable context for an artist’s body of work, helping potential patrons and galleries connect with the artwork, providing support for the awarding of grants and residencies, and allowing for deeper engagement across the board.

Join NYC-based painter and instructor Natalie Terenzini for a workshop exploring how to craft an artist statement that will show your work in its best light.

Natalie Terenzini is a painter living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She holds degrees from both Laguna College of Art and Design and The New York Academy of Art. Terenzini’s work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in NYC and internationally. Recent exhibitions include Plato, NYC and PMAM, London.
