While you’re here enjoying the waterfront views, be sure to check out our freshly renovated public bathrooms, made possible through the hard work and dedication of caretaker Bobby Flynn. We’re grateful for his efforts in making our site even more welcoming for visitors. There’s more to come—keep an eye out for upcoming projects on the grounds.

Stop by to see the improvements, explore the museum, and enjoy one of the most scenic spots along the canal.

🍓 The countdown is on! 🍓

Be sure to mark your calendars for the 54th Annual Strawberry Festival at the Museums at Aptucxet on Saturday, June 27 from 10 AM–3 PM!

Join us along the beautiful Cape Cod Canal for a day filled with our famous strawberry shortcakes, delicious food, live music, an antique car show, craft fair, children's activities, historic building tours, and more. It's a wonderful way to kick off the summer while supporting the Bourne Historical Society and our museums.

🍓 Join us for a Berry Wonderful Day at the 54th Annual Strawberry Festival! 🍓

We’re excited to welcome everyone back to the Museums at Aptucxet for one of Bourne’s favorite summer traditions! Spend the day enjoying our famous strawberry shortcakes topped with fresh whipped cream, delicious food from the grill, live local music, kids activities, historic building tours, and more — all along the beautiful Cape Cod Canal.

This year will also feature an antique car show and a craft fair filled with talented local artisans and makers!

Our museum season has begun! The season will continue through Indigenous Peoples' Day Weekend in October.

🕰️ Regular Hours:
Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

🎟️ Admission:
• Full guided tours: $6 per person
• Visitors are welcome to enjoy the property at no cost and explore the site on a self-guided walking tour.

🚻 Amenities:
Bathrooms are available during operating hours, and a water bubbler is available on-site throughout the warm-weather season.

🏛️ Private Tours:
Private tours are available year-round and can be customized to your interests. The cost is $60 for up to 6 people and $10 per additional person. Contact us to schedule your visit.

We may have been tempting fate by calling today’s tent sale a “blow-out” sale! Thanks to everyone who came out this morning to shop the tent sale. Mother Nature has spoken and we are packing it in for the day. The Museums are closed for the rest of today due to unsafe weather conditions. We re-open tomorrow for our tent sale and museum tours. Be safe out there everyone!
