A nice period correct set loading out some dirt at the Concordia Kansas Bigger Dig show last week. A Caterpillar 60 pulling a Caterpillar Elevating Grader with a Caterpillar 65 pulling a Bottom Dump on Tracks... What a great show they put on!!!!

While attending the Bigger Dig in Concordia Kansas some of the HCEA members were able to stop by and check out the Big Brutus museum in West Mineral KS.

Check this video out of a unique working model in the museum. Dubbed the Little Giant built by a hobbyist in Kansas over an 11 year period between 1930's & 1940's it was later purchased in 1946 by the Pittsburgh & Midway Coal Mining Co. The scale is 1 inch to 1 foot and contains 30,000 rivets, 2000 bolts, & weighs in at 700 lbs. The machine is powered by 5 electric motors. Enjoy the video......
