Penn Brad Oil Museum was planning on being in the 250th Celebration parade in downtown Bradford on the 20th of this month. We were going to have an old REO Speadwagon made into a Nitroglycerin truck. Unfortunately, due to the age of the truck and all the idling that would happen during the parade, it would cause overheating to the vehicle and parts for a 100 year old truck would be impossible to find. Does anyone have an older pickup or some type of wagon that we could borrow and make into a Nitro wagon? I promise...... NO real nitroglycerin will be used! Please let me know if anyone could help us out. Otherwise we will have to cancel. Thanks in advance.

Please note, our Nitro wagon in the museum would never make it down the street due to its age and fragility.

Butch Cassidy of Pittsburgh stopped in to check out the museum today. Butch has worked in the oil fields for many years all over the area. He says he loves what he does. In the photo he's showing some of the time-honored equipment that is still in use today in the oil drilling industry.
