I apologize for the poor newspaper print quality, but I thought this was cool. "Old Man Kendall" appeared at the Detroit Aircraft show in April 1931. As you can see, he was made of Kendall Oil parts. In 1931, the Kendall Oil Company was actively involved in promoting its products through the booming aviation industry. This appeared in the Bradford Era on April 13, 1931

Looking for a fun holiday idea? How about making your own Christmas wreath? Maybe bring a friend, a relative, or just yourself?

Once again, the Crook farm will host "Make a Wreath" classes...only slots are filling fast. You will join others at the Bank building at the Crook Farm, where all supplies are ready, including all sorts of greenery (believe me, volunteers have been tramping through the woods, cutting fresh greens for weeks), and wonderful bows. I saw the piles and piles of pretty bows that volunteers have been making and they are WONDERFUL. I only wish I could make bows like that. 😕

And don't worry - there will be teachers there to help you make your own personal wreath.

I took these classes a few years ago with my daughter, and had so much fun. These are the dates that are available (some classes are already filled, sorry).

· December 1st: 6–7 PM 2 SPOTS OPEN

· December 6th: 2–3 PM 12 SPOTS OPEN

· December 8th: 2–3 PM 20 SPOTS OPEN

Meet Kellie Hopkins, the Bradford Landmark Society’s new Crook Farm Special Event & Marketing Coordinator!

But let’s hear from Kellie herself:

“I’m thrilled to be joining Crook Farm as the Event Coordinator. In my new role at Crook Farm, I’m excited to bring fresh ideas, fun new activities, and greater awareness to all that Crook Farm has to offer. My goal is to help connect our community through engaging and meaningful events and experiences at Crook Farm.

Originally from Smethport, I now live in Bradford with my husband and our three children. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Communications and enjoy volunteering with the McKean County Historical Society, where I can explore and share our community’s rich history.

You can also find me at LUV Toyota, where I take vehicle photos. Outside of work, my husband and I stay busy keeping up with our kids’ sports and activities.”
