Last night, with help from Lisa Wall, Doug Bent, Shirly Hook and other, we dug the ”bean hole” in anticipation of Sunday‘s Old Home Day Celebration. The hole is lined with soapstone to hold heat. A fire will be built in the hole early Sunday morning, then the bean pots will be set in the coals and buried to cook until the afternoon.

Looks like great weather for our second Bluegrass Brunch of the season!
