An interactive museum filled with priceless treasures, artifacts, and pirate b***y.

Discover the secrets of the deep! The artifacts on display were recovered from the remains of many different ships including: The SS Republic, the famous Civil War ship, which held the largest Civil War treasure ever found. The SS Gairsoppa, the British merchant steamship that was sunk by a German U-boat and sank to 15,000 feet below the surface, and from which over 90,000 pounds of silver was recovered. It is believed to be "the deepest, largest precious metal recovery in history". The pirate era Spanish Galleon, Tortugas which sank in the 1600’s and was loaded with priceless treasures. And many, many more.

For thousands of years ships loaded with precious cargo have sunk to the deep depths of the oceans and seas, landing in quickly forgotten and unknown locations. Stories were passed down describing what might lie at the bottom of the deep waters. Archaeologists and treasure hunters longed to be the first to discover and document these shipwrecks and to recover those priceless treasures. Technology innovations allowed previously untouchable shipwrecks to be found and documented as well as new ways to preserve the recovered artifacts. Amazingly the stories, the artifacts, the priceless treasures, and the technology are here in Branson at the Shipwrecked Treasure Museum.

Shipwrecked Treasure Museum highlights the discoveries of those shipwrecks, unlocking the secrets of the wrecks and artifacts, and the recoveries of precious treasures by Odyssey Marine Exploration as documented by and seen on National Geographic and Discovery Channel. There is also plenty of seafaring lore, especially about pirates, their b***y, and their fates.

Interactive exhibits let you try your hand at recovering coins from the ocean floor, immersing yourself in a Level One Hurricane, interacting with an actual Photo Mosaic map of the SS Republic at the bottom of the ocean, test your pirate knot tying skills, and more. It’s actually amazing to think that sitting inside Shipwreck Treasure Museum is an “astrolabe” worth over a million dollars; 88 pound silver bars recovered from the SS Gairsoppa; a large olive urn from Jesus’ time; and even food, beer & wine perfectly preserved after being recovered from a 150 year old shipwreck that was over 1700 ft deep.
