When you hear the word “fossil”, you might think of old bones and footprints, rocks and dirt, or cool dinosaurs. But do ants come to mind?
In 2011, a man discovered the fossil of a giant queen ant belonging to the genus Titanomyrma. This fossilized ant is a little over 2 inches long, about the size of a hummingbird! Many creation scientists believe that these ants from thousands of years ago reached such large sizes because the pre-flood world had warmer temperatures and higher oxygen levels.
Discoveries like this remind us that the world is full of patterns, variety, and design that point us to our Creator, whose brilliance and wisdom exceed the wonder of even the most amazing fossils we uncover!

DID YOU KNOW there is a salad eating shark?

Scientists discovered that the Bonnethead shark, a smaller relative of the Hammerhead shark, eats mostly seagrass. It was believed there was no nutritional benefit for the shark to eat seagrass since their intestines were too short, and there wasn’t enough time to digest the fibrous plant material. An experiment was performed where five Bonnethead sharks were fed a diet of 90% seagrass for three weeks. It was found that the Bonnethead sharks actually gained weight. They were able to successfully digest the seagrass as well as young green sea turtles do. This lines up with the Biblical view that all animals, including modern day predators, were once vegetarians.

We are looking for more volunteer tour guides at the Creation Experience Museum!

Our guided tours are one the the most important parts of what we do. Every week families, students, churches, and visitors from all over come through our doors with questions about the Bible, science, fossils, dinosaurs, and the world God created.

Tour guides help walk guests through the museum, explain the exhibits, answer questions, and point people back to the truth of God’s Word. You do not need to be an expert to get started. We provide training and resources to help you grow in confidence and knowledge.

If you love people, enjoy sharing truth, and want to be part of a ministry that impacts families we would love to talk with you.

DID YOU KNOW there’s a flower that launches pollen into the air?
The bunchberry, which carpets the spruce-fir forests of North America from late April to May, has a built-in trebuchet that catapults pollen into the air at up to 2,400 times the force of gravity.
When it opens, each petal suddenly snaps backward, almost instantaneously unfurling its stamens and launching pollen into the air to reach other bunchberry plants. All of this happens in less than 0.4 milliseconds, almost invisible to the human eye. Design like this isn’t random, and even something as small as a forest flower reveals intentional complexity designed by our Creator.
