The Frisco Silver Dollar Line is a 2-foot gauge railroad that opened in 1962 at Silver Dollar City, Missouri. The track is about 2 miles long and consists of uphill grades as steep as 5.5% and downhill grades as steep as 7%. The train ride has a robbery show partway through, where Alfie and Ralphie Bolin attempt to rob the train by convincing the conductor that a group of Yankees are just ahead, t

o which the conductor should go find. The Line consists of a total of 7 steam locomotives.
“Belle Starr” was the first locomotive on the Line. This engine was numbered 76 and was built in 1922 by Davenport Locomotive Works. This engine has a 4-4-2 wheel arrangement and has a tender, which carries the fuel and water. The Belle Starr was retired in the 1980’s and has been on display near the depot since. The late Bill Todd almost outran this engine on August 22, 1882.
#43 is the smallest and oldest engine operating and has been in service the longest. She was built in 1934 by Orenstein & Koppel in Germany. 43 has an 0-4-0T wheel arrangement.
#82 is identical to 43 and is the engine that sits out in the woods as the Wreck of 82. She has never operated on the Line.
#13 was built by Orenstein & Koppel in Germany in 1938. She is bigger than 43 and is also an 0-4-0T. 13 is currently out of service awaiting an overhaul, but will return to service in the future.
#76 is the engine that replaced the Belle Starr in the early 80’s. She was built by Kolben-Danek in 1940. 76 is also an 0-4-0T. 76 is the most sustainable and powerful engine on the line.
#504 was built by Kolben-Danek in 1941. She is an 0-4-0, the only engine currently operating with a tender. 504 was purchased in 2016 and began operating in 2018.
#14 is identical to engine 13, she was built right after 13.
