We opened Raitman Art Galleries (formerly Art on a Whim) in 2007 with a unique idea for an art gallery: Art should be fun. Art should be accessible. More than anything, art should make us smile. Our gallery is a family-owned operation, something we see as being part of the American fabric. We show museum-quality, all American art from the finest artists our state has to offer. Bright colors, interesting techniques and a touch of whimsy characterize our galleries. Most of our artists are from right here in Colorado and all of them are like family to us. Our Colorado centered collection constantly awes and inspires our visitors. We love sharing our collection with you and are happy to ship or deliver work all over the world. One of the best parts about rehanging our spaces in the gallery is seeing how the different artists' work compliment each other. We love hearing the "Wow" as people step into the radiant space of Pamela Sukhum.

There is a sense of warmth that eminates from her piece Ancient Heart.

We are honored to have one of her largest paintings, Timeless Winds, at our gallery in Vail. Measuring 76 x 100 inches, the movement and light play in this work is taken to the next level due to its scale. It is a must-see in person.

Lyudmila's ability to paint light through the water is mindbending. When asked where we should hang this painting, the answer was easy. "In front of my desk." Lyudmila's work takes us to some of our favorite places. Whether that is Paris, Timesquare, Grandma's garden, or even under the sea.

This is one of Joe Norman's transformative sculptures, Coyote / Trout. As you walk around this piece, it morphes before your eyes from one animal to another. He likes to choose animals that live in the same habitat while living different lives, such as the coyote, trout, and hawk.

Counting down the days until we see our dear friend and artist at large, Rolinda Stotts. Her collection takes us to our favorite mountain meadow daydreams. Stop by Friday the 3rd and Saturday the 4th from 1-5 to meet the artist and see her demonstrate.

For Wildflower Week, we have teamed up with the town, and Friday morning from 10-11, we will be hosting a talk on the dance of the Pollinators and Pollen Makers. We would love for you to join us at our gallery on South Main St. Breckenridge.
