Historic Bremen would like to thank the Town of Bremen for its response when a water pipe in the Historic B&O Depot burst, spilling about a half inch of water all over the floor & out the main door as well as some in the basement, where the sump pump failed. Historic Bremen board members responded to clean up and started plans for repairs. Damage was minor due to the tile floors & cement basement. The town has graciously offered to help ensure the depot is fully winterized in the future, including shutting off the water & blowing out the pipes.

Can you HELP us spread the word?! Tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 9) at 2 p.m. at the History Center, Derek Jensen will present a History Chat in honor of the late Don Bunge, beloved coach and teacher. (This chat is in place of the originally planned speaker, Sergio Aguayo. Sergio's History Chat has been postponed. Stay tuned for that new date.) MEANWHILE ... please help us spread the word! Saturday's presentation will be very interesting and provide a well-deserved tribute Mr. Bunge. We hope to see you there. Admission is free!

Don Bunge passed away this weekend. He was a WW2 veteran and a coach and teacher for many years at Bremen High School starting in 1952 and retiring in 1985.

Come see us this afternoon!

Your brain: "Hmmmm I wonder what's inside this building. I drive by all the time. But I never go inside. I wonder what kind of cool things I could see or learn? I will never know unless I go check it out. But it's not open very often. And I keep missing it."

Historic Bremen Volunteers: "Come see us at the Bremen Depot! Open the first Sunday of the month, May through October."

See? That wasn't so bad.

You got this.
