We're operating this weekend for Museum Ships Weekend. You'll find us working Voice and CW in HF, FT8, and a little DRM. No set frequencies as we tend to find we bounce around all weekend. Start time is 1700 6/3 to 1700 6/5 Pacific Time (though we do tend to shut down a little early on Sunday as activity lightens up). You might hear us clearing our throats between now and then. In addition, for the first time, we'll be lighting up the USS Parche (N7P) and USS South Carolina (N7C) as we have operators available. Lots of museums participating, so have fun!

USS Turner Joy will light up much of Saturday for Veteran's Day. Listen for us on 20 meters, maybe elsewhere as the bands change.

Message from our Secretary:
On June 1st we will once again participate in the Museum Ships Weekend, sponsored by the USS new Jersey ARC. Operations will commence at 1700 on the 1st and continue for 48 hours. This is not a contest but rather more like a Family Reunion. Currently there are 104 ships registered and thousands of Hams waiting for the opportunity to QSO with the Terror of the Tonkin Gulf. If you plan to operate for the entire event, bring a sleeping bag and a tooth brush. There are plenty of bunks available. For a sizable donation I'm sure the Captain's Sea Cabin is available. Enlisted bunks are free. 😉

Great MSW for 2017. The initial count before inspecting the logs is 500ish contacts, 29 ships. We'll post final counts here and on the web site in a week or two.

Several of us are on the TJ today through Sunday for Museum Ships Weekend 2017. This amateur radio event is our flagship event, lots of fun, plenty of operating potential, and maybe an opportunity or two to volunteer towards the ship. Join us if you're around. If not, get on the air and contact us!

We are confirmed for Museum Ships Weekend for 2017. Look for us on the air June 3-4.http://www.nj2bb.org/museum/
