"Into the Layered Field"
has been extended to May 2, 2026. The artists will be at the gallery on the 2nd from 1-3pm. Stop by and say hello.

"Into the Layered Field" features two printmakers engaged in experimental techniques that explore depth, materiality, and growth. Working in monoprint and collagraph, they embed found materials and stitched thread into surfaces that pulse with texture and expressive marks. The language of painting and drawing informs each work, while intuitive decision-making and recurring layers guide the evolution of form. This process-driven approach allows the artwork to respond organically to its environment, unfolding like a natural system.

Portico Pride: Power in Community
Exhibition Dates: June 13 – July 25, 2026
SUBMISSION DEADLINE MAY 1

Portico Pride is an annual exhibition held every June to celebrate q***r pride and resistance in a q***r-phobic and heterosexist world.

Portico Gallery will host an exhibition by artists who self-identify as LGBTQ for our next pride exhibition

All artistic perspectives are welcome, and the work does not need to be explicitly LGBTQ-focused.

Artwork requirements: 2D artwork no larger than 36” wide by 48” in height. Weight restricted to 40 lbs. Our gallery is narrow so we are limited to the amount of sculpture we can show. (Please e-mail me for any particular clarification)

Please include with submission your first and last name, preferred pronouns (optional) your mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, and a brief statement about yourself or about the work.

Please submit up to two images of artwork. Include the title of work, medium, dimensions (H x W x D in inches), and any additional information about the work. All 2-D artwork must arrive 'gallery ready' and 'ready to hang' and be presented professionally. (Please e-mail me for any particular clarification)

There is no submission fee. (artists are responsible for all shipping costs)
