Even the greats are still learning. 🎭

In this powerful moment, Taraji P. Henson shares advice she received from legendary director Debbie Allen while preparing for her Broadway debut in Joe Turner’s Come and Gone about staying grounded in character, even when mistakes happen on stage.

It’s a beautiful reminder that art is not about perfection. It’s about presence, trust, growth, and continuing to tell the story no matter what. Conversations like these are why live theater and artistic mentorship matter so deeply within our creative communities.

What is the best piece of creative advice you’ve ever received? Share it with us in the comments below. ✨

Some feelings, ideas, and experiences are simply too big for words. That’s the power of art. 🎨

Georgia O'Keeffe believed creativity could express what language sometimes cannot, and her work continues to inspire artists to trust their instincts, embrace boldness, and tell stories through color, movement, and imagination.

This Wednesday Wisdom, let this be your reminder that your creativity matters, even when it feels difficult to explain. Sometimes creating is the language.

What’s a piece of art, music, film, or creative project that has helped you express something words couldn’t? ⬇️

Flashback to a beautiful moment in Bridgeport Art Trail history! ✨

Four years ago, City Lights Gallery welcomed an inspiring group of artists including Executive Director Suzanne Kachmar, Fuzz Sangiovanni, Asher Delerme, and Iyaba Ibo Mandingo for a powerful school visit that brought creativity, connection, and music into the classroom. Teaching students a “Lean on Me” round, this experience was a reminder of how art can unite, uplift, and leave a lasting impact on our community. 💜

Moments like these are at the heart of what Bridgeport Art Trail is all about. Community, creativity, and showing up for the next generation of artists.

What’s a Bridgeport Art Trail moment that’s stayed with you? Drop it in the comments and let’s celebrate together!
