Happy Labor Day from all of us at Discovery!
At Discovery, we believe that science belongs to everyone—and that some of the most important work we do happens when we come together as a community.

Today, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the people who make our work possible. Our incredible educators who turn questions into discoveries. Our staff who keep the museum welcoming, inspiring, and full of wonder. Our volunteers, partners, supporters, and community members who believe in our mission. And the families, children, teachers, and curious minds who walk through our doors every day and remind us **why we do what we do.**

As a nonprofit science center, we are proud to be part of a community where hard work, imagination, education, and opportunity can come together to create something meaningful.

So today, we celebrate **you**—the people who build, teach, care, create, explore, and make our community stronger.

From our Discovery family to yours, we hope you have a safe, joyful, and well-deserved Happy Labor Day!

Discovery was honored to celebrate with Senator Chris Murphy today as he wrapped up his 10th annual Walk Across Connecticut. The Senator shared his thoughts on the issues facing our state and how he continues to fight for families in our region. He highlighted the importance of education and access to technology, and we couldn’t agree more!

Our amazing **Frogs & Friends** exhibit is hopping away after Labor Day, which means there’s only a little time left to visit these incredible Animal Ambassadors at Discovery!

From our colorful frogs and fascinating reptiles, to our more elusive friends like Paws the Curly Haired Tarantula, these animals have given our visitors so many opportunities to get curious, ask questions, and discover the amazing world of living things.

We’re going to miss our animal friends when they leave—and we don’t want you to miss your last chance to see them!

Today, Discovery joins people around the world in remembering Gloria Steinem, the pioneering feminist, journalist, author, and lifelong advocate for equality.

Gloria Steinem used her voice to challenge assumptions, ask difficult questions, and open doors for generations of women and girls. Her work reminded us that curiosity is powerful—and that asking why? can be the beginning of meaningful change.

At Discovery, we believe in nurturing curious minds and creating opportunities for every young person to explore, question, imagine, and discover their own potential. That spirit of curiosity and possibility is part of the legacy Gloria Steinem leaves behind.

We are grateful for a life dedicated to making the world more equitable and for the many voices she inspired along the way.

May her legacy continue to encourage us all to question, learn, speak up, and make room for the next generation of changemakers.
