Thank you for the opportunity to share my journey in the Nashville Voyager article recently .To address your first question regarding the battles I face: as a first-generation Ukrainian-American born in Philadelphia, my connection to my heritage is profound. Having lived in Kyiv and studied the culture extensively, the ongoing injustice in Ukraine has deeply impacted my life and work. Years ago, I chose to return to the United States, but I have always felt a responsibility to help.
Recently, I’ve channeled this into action. I had the honor of playing with Harry Wilson’s quartet in a peace concert series in Fredericksburg, which raised over $20,000 for Doctors Without Borders. Despite personal obstacles—including financial scams and a distressing incident in New Jersey while caring for my 92-year-old mother—I remain committed to my craft. My music, including songs like "Blisters on My Feet" and "Without Love," reflects these deep life experiences of loss, resilience, and the pursuit of peace.
To introduce myself and my brand: I am a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist now based in Fredericksburg, Virginia. My work is defined by its authenticity and its roots in both guitar and violin. I perform solo and with a fusion band featuring light percussion and vocal harmonies, playing everywhere from local farmers' markets to larger sustainable-themed concerts.
What makes my music unique is its focus on global peace and human connectedness. My repertoire includes pieces like "Song for the Earth" and "Suspended in Blue," which advocate for environmental appreciation, as well as new works addressing the injustice of war in Ukraine. My goal is to use music as a tool to move beyond meaningless distractions and touch the depth of the human experience.
