According to the 1901 char

ter which established its official boundary lines, the borough of Bridgeville was stated as stretching from the middle of Chartiers Creek to the northern end of McLaughlin Run. Unfortunately, life is never as clear-cut as a boundary line and for the past 120 or so years Bridgeville has served as the commercial and social center for much of South Fayette and Upper St. Clair Townships, Kirwan Heights, and portions of Scott and Collier Townships. You can't really discuss "Bridgeville" without discussing the "Bridgeville Area".

Please be patient with us. Our computer crashed last Friday and although we are getting a new one, we can’t change our outdoor sign. Hopefully Happy Mothers Day will be taken down tomorrow 😊

At our recent board meeting, it was voted that Mary Weise be given the title of President Emeritus since she is no longer an active part at the BAHS. We thank her for her many many years as president and the guiding force of the Historical Society. A motion was made that Ed Pelino take over as President. The vote was unanimous. Due to the vacancy on the board, a motion was made to add long time volunteer John Shipe. This vote was also unanimous. Glad to have John as a board member. All other board members remain active. Linda Tome, Leesa Shady, Laura Gibbons, Betty Copeland, Joe Colosimo, Carol Kurchena and Jim Watson.
