What a catch! 🎣 Introducing a rare species, Rufus P. Fish, crafted by Ruth Boisvert - a fiber artist - of Naples. Fish now has a permanent home here at the museum after Laurie Chalmers successfully bid on him at the Gallery 302 auction and then donated him. Our collection of Rufus Porter inspired art continues to grow!

Happy spooky season! 👻🍂 It's October 1, and we're decorated for it. Our season ends on October 11, so come on in this weekend or next. We have fall goodies in our gift shop too... 🎃

We were honored to be awarded the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Excellence in Historic Preservation two weeks ago!

Do you want to get more involved in the community? Volunteering at the Rufus Porter Museum is a great way to share history, art, and connection with others. There are NO prerequisites! We want EVERYONE to be part of our museum, even (actually, especially) if you've never stepped into our museum before, we would be thrilled to have you. We'll provide education and make you feel at home.
