The museum is home to a permanent exhibition on the history of Brigham City, and five temporary historical and fine art exhibitions a year. The outstanding collection covers more than 150 years of the history of Box Elder County with more than 10,000 objects. The growing art collection includes more than 300 pieces by outstanding artists including Florence Ware, David Howell Rosenbaum, E.J. Nestled in the heart of historic Brigham City, Utah, the Brigham City Museum of Art & History is consistently rated as one of the top things to do in Brigham City and Northern Utah. This unique museum provides opportunities to see exhibitions showcasing fabulous Utah artists, as well as historical exhibitions that illuminate the history of Utah, and our place in the world.

Visit the museum on Saturday, November 14th at 11:00am for a presentation by local photography Barry Parsons on Wildlife Photography.

Barry Parsons was born in Brigham City. He received his Bachelors and Master Degree in Photography from Utah State University and taught at Brigham City USU extension for over 10 years. He is an award winning photographer with over 40 years of experience with photographs in many permanent collections. What he loves about photography besides all the beautiful images he creates is sharing his passion with others.

Come and see a unique puppet show put on by the Northern Utah Center for the Arts at the museum on November 6th, at 6:30pm! The show is about 10 fascinating individuals who helped shape Utah and the American West, brought to life by full-bodied puppets with almost life-sized heads!

Congratulations to Susan Douglas Silver for receiving Second Place in the 2026 Photography Competition for her piece, "Vanishing."

Susan said this photo is, "Glimpsing the development of the collapse of the Great Salt Lake Ecosystem. Losing 73% of its volume, the shoreline expands. Taken from the south shore, looking north toward Antelope Island."

The 2026 Photography Exhibition, "Development" is on display at the museum until December 4th. Make sure to stop by and see it!

Join the Brigham City Museum for Homeschool Day! All homeschool, online, daycare, etc. groups are invited to visit the museum on the third Wednesday of every month at 11:00am for a special tour, activity, and scavenger hunt! In November we will focus on Rocks and Fossils! Come and learn about the different kinds of fossils, and have an exclusive look at some of the fossils in our collection.

Congratulations to Marcus Darais for receiving First Place in the 2026 Photography Competition for his piece, "Buddies, The Turtle & The Bird."

Marcus said, "I was fortunate to catch this bird showing off for his turtle buddy. I love the reflection in the water, especially of the mountains. No post-processing was performed on this photo."
