Memorial Day is fast approaching and what better way to honor a veteran, past and present, than to purchase a special medallion that is meant to do just that.

The Memorial Military Museum will be selling this medallion ($20) at the Forestville Stop & Shop store entrances on
Saturday, May 23rd from 10-2pm.

May 8th - Victory in Europe Day

Victory in Europe Day is the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of N**i Germany's unconditional surrender of its armed forces on Tuesday, 8 May 1945; it marked the official surrender of all German military operations.

National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM) takes place every May in the U.S. to honor, remember, and recognize active duty, veterans, their families, and those who died in service. Established by Congress in 1999, it encompasses numerous military-related observances, including Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, and Military Spouse Appreciation Day.
