My photo “Industrial Pastoral” will be included in the Arts Gowanus group exhibition “re:place” curated by Miska Draskoczy from March 18th-22nd at the If you are familiar with the area, you’ll enjoy checking out this collection of photos of a neighborhood in constant flux. The photo was taken while I was painting on site. All work in the show is priced at $150. Keep reading for more information, including Free Admission with Donation of Art Supply and/or check out link in bio.

From the curator Miska who is an amazing photographer and has been documenting the area for years.
“The Gowanus neighborhood is changing every day, with buildings appearing and disappearing seemingly overnight. How do you keep up with the pace of this transformation?

For many of us who live or work in Gowanus, photographs are a way to remember what once was–which buildings have been replaced by new development, which parks used to be vacant lots–and also serve as a future reference for what currently is. Memories of Gowanus’s industrial past still linger between luxury residential towers and the Gowanus Canal which has defined the neighborhood since the 19th century.”

Closing reception and artist talk will take place Sunday, 2/22 from 3-5pm. This will be a casual artist talk with those artists in attendance who want to speak about their work. (Translation: you can walk in at any moment, and it’s fine)

Due to construction, the entrance from Bethune street that leads directly to the gallery will not be accessible. Visitors will have to walk through the main housing complex entrance security to the courtyard to access the gallery.

Join us for the opening reception of “Breathe” on Friday, Feb 6 from 5-8pm at Westbeth Gallery. This
NYAC exhibition explores breath as both a physical rhythm and a call to pause, recenter, and find calm.

Opening Reception: Friday, February 6 | 5–8 PM
Westbeth Gallery
55 Bethune St, NYC
On view February 6–22, 2026

In a world that feels increasingly overstimulated and demanding, Breathe offers a space for serenity. Featuring work by members of the New York Artists Circle, the exhibition explores breath not only as a fundamental human necessity, but as an invitation to pause, recenter and find calm.

The artists approach this theme from multiple perspectives. Some focus on the physical act of breathing—its rhythm, vulnerability, and sustaining force—while others employ breath as a metaphor for stillness, resilience, clarity, and the act of claiming space in an often overwhelming world. Together, these works invite viewers to step away from the noise, take a deep breath, and reconnect with a sense of peace, presence, and inner balance.

Big thanks to the Fine Arts Work Center for a great week as a returning resident. Made some progress in the studio, caught up with past residents, and felt lucky to be back in such a special place. A solid start to the summer season! ☀️🎨

My painting will be on view at The Other Art Fair from May 8–11 as part of Flowers for Mom, a group exhibition presented by Arts Gowanus. You can find it at the Arts Gowanus booth ( #125) at ZeroSpace in Gowanus.

Fresh flowers are lovely—but short-lived. These ones stick around. Flowers for Mom features dozens of Gowanus-based artists interpreting “flower” however they see fit, each on an 8”x10” panel. All works are $300.
