[ Brooklyn, New York ] Tanya Weddemire ( ) Founder and CEO of Tanya Weddemire Gallery, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tatianna Mack () as Director of Tanya Weddemire Gallery, effective June 1, 2026.
Since joining the gallery in 2023 as Art Liaison, Mack has played an integral role in shaping the gallery’s artist relations, curatorial programming, and community engagement initiatives. Her leadership and dedication have contributed significantly to the gallery’s continued growth and cultural impact within the contemporary art landscape.
Prior to becoming Director, Mack led initiatives in collaboration with organizations including Black Girls in Art Spaces, A Place Called Home, and Industry City. Her contributions and work have been featured in PIX11, HelloBeautiful, Brooklyn Paper, BK Reader, Park Magazine, and SeeGreatArt. She has also participated in public conversations and panels with the Fashion Institute of Technology Black Student Union, Howard University Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts, and the ABLE Initiative.
As Director, Mack will oversee the gallery’s day-to-day operations, artist development, exhibition programming, art fair participation, collector relations, and staff management. Her appointment reflects the gallery’s ongoing investment in leadership development and its commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for artists and arts professionals.
Mack has traveled and participated with the gallery in several major international art fairs including SCOPE Art Show, EXPO Chicago, and 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, and among others.
In 2025, Mack received her Certificate in Contemporary Art History from Sotheby’s Institute of Art and continues to build an arts practice centered around accessibility, cultural impact, and artistic visibility.
