Linn County Historical Museum Linn County Historical Museum is located in downtown historic Brownsville, Oregon in the original Southern Pacific railroad depot.

The general purpose of the Museum is to:
* Conserve the historical and cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest, Oregon, and Linn County, and to provide historical, educational and research opportunities for the public.
* Collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret material that pertains to the historical, cultural, anthropological, economic and natural histories of the Pacific Northwest with special emphasis on Linn County.

New Hours Update!

As summer winds down, we’re returning to our regular operating hours beginning Wednesday, September 9.

This Sunday, September 6, will be our last open Sunday of the season.

Beginning September 9, we’ll be open:
Wednesday–Saturday 11am- 4pm

We hope you’ll stop by and visit us this fall!

Our volunteers have been hard at work these past few months caring for and maintaining the Museum’s 1909 Brush automobile. Donated to the Museum by the Tripp family, this rare early automobile is truly one- of-a-kind. We are grateful to our dedicated volunteers for helping preserve this special piece of local history for generations to come.

We here at the LCHM are getting excited! Only a few more days until Stand by Me Day. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of this iconic movie, and it’s expected to be one doozy of a party. We hope you can visit Castle Rock aka Brownsville this Saturday, July 25th to help us celebrate!

Our new temporary exhibit is now on display at the LCHM. Step back in time and discover a few glimpses of how Linn County celebrated our nation’s anniversary through the years. We hope these memories inspire a little nostalgia of your own.🇺🇸🇺🇸
