Thank you to everyone who attended PHC’s 2026 Annual Meeting and Theme Kickoff two weeks ago, featuring our amazing speaker, Colin Woodard! Colin delivered a fascinating presentation on the way the United States’ colonial past has shaped the increasing regionalism and polarization we’re experiencing today— the topic of his latest book, Nations Apart: How Clashing Regional Cultures Shattered America.

We know that, due to the early sellout, many people who wanted to attend weren’t able to get tickets—and we hate to disappoint you all. Thanks to the Harpswell Community Television team, we are able to offer access to the recording of the presentation to those who couldn’t attend in person!

You can now purchase access to the video for a minimum donation of $5 here: https://www.simpletix.com/e/recording-colin-woodard-presentation-tickets-263270

This Sunday August 24, explore historic Cumberland Street with Don Westfall!

Based on a highly detailed history of this street by local historian Dick Snow, this tour features fascinating houses, people, and events.

A notable house was moved from this street to later become a fraternity. It’s also where the Pastime Theater first existed. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!

The tour will meet at the corner of Maine and Cumberland by the Bank of America. You can book tickets on our website here: https://pejepscothistorical.org/event/august-24-walking-tour/
