What an incredible Closing Reception of art show "America Beautiful" hosted by the Visual Art Society of Bryan - College Station TX at Degallery ! Huge congratulations to everyone for a fantastic event, and special to the People’s Choice Awards winners: 5th place: Mindy Austin, 4th place: Renee Richards , 3rd place: Joana Rocha , 2nd place: Dary Penionzhkevich Dega , and 1st place: Jacqui Miller . The end-of-semester Fashion Design Class - Fashion Show at Degallery was truly fantastic! All the students put so much effort into creating beautiful outfits, from drawing to sewing. We're very grateful to the parents for trusting us and enrolling your children in our classes. A big thank you to Crista The Pencil Artist for sharing her talent and teaching our students about fashion design. We're excited to continue offering our fashion design camps and regular classes during the summer summer, as well as in the Fall and Spring semesters. Registration is open online, and we can’t wait to see more creative designs!

Tonight at DEGALLERY, we celebrated one of the most meaningful events of the semester — our Youth Artists Exhibition and Awards Ceremony.

Seeing the gallery filled with artwork by students aged 2 to 17 was truly inspiring. This year, our program grew to more than 120 students, including 85 young artists participating in our youth classes.

What makes us especially proud is not only the artistic growth but also the confidence, creativity, and joy these young artists develop through the process of creating and sharing their work with the community.

We sincerely thank all the parents who recognize the importance of art education and continue supporting their children’s creative journeys. Your encouragement makes a tremendous difference. And thank you to our amazing art instructors!

At DEGALLERY, we also remain deeply committed to accessibility and community impact. Alongside our regular programs, we continue to expand free art classes and opportunities for adopted children, families with low incomes, and patients from the Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center.

Art has the power to build confidence, connection, healing, and belonging — and tonight was a beautiful reminder of that.

Congratulations to all of our young artists and award winners. The future of creativity is very bright.

The schedule is live for Degart VisiON, and registration is now open. I’m honored to be part of this gathering of photographers, educators, artists, and creative people at DEGALLERY in Bryan, Texas.
I’ll be sharing occasional highlights over the next few weeks, but mostly I’m excited about the chance for us to learn together, ask questions, see work in person, and connect with others who care about image-making.

What a lovely evening at Degallery during the Department Social event with the PhD students from Texas A&M University's Toxicology department! We all got to paint "Old Town" together, and for many of the students, it was their first time trying acrylics. It truly was a joyful experience because art has such a wonderful way of creating a warm atmosphere — a perfect chance to relax, connect, and unwind after a busy and stressful semester.
