April is Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month, a reminder that we live in a world shaped by narrow ideas of what “normal” looks like. Sandie Yi, a disabled artist and disability culture worker, pushes back on those ideas through wearable art that celebrates non-normative bodies. Her work, featured in this photograph on display at the Museum of Disability History, challenges norms in both prosthetics and fashion, refusing to be defined by what is considered “normal.” Plan your visit today to explore the many ways people with limb difference navigate the world https://museumofdisabilityhistory.org/
