Historic Bunker Union Church and Timber Museum

Historic Bunker Union Church and Timber Museum Open by appointment, please call 573-247-2362 or 573-689-2236. We are under the direction of a 12 member board.

Historic Bunker Union Church and Timber Museum is a 501c3 organization and is dependent on donations to fund the museum. Normal meeting time is on the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. at the museum, but if you plan to attend, please contact us first. Our meetings haven't been regular due to circumstances from 2020. Our mission statement is as follows: The Historic Bunker Union Church and Timb

er Museum is dedicated to preserving Bunker history as well as promoting educational opportunities for the Bunker Citizens and visitors to our community. the Bunker Union Church is the most historic building in Bunker and will specifically provide a place to gather and display information for this and future generations.

Since I was looking at the 2007 book, Marilyn wrote this to go with the quilt raffle at the Bunker Centennial celebration. Our grandma(s) would have been proud of her for following in their quilting footsteps. Dina Martin Houston won the raffle and sent me the quilt pics.

A few of the pictures/items of the Bunker camp CCC display at Ozark Natural and Cultural Resource Center in Salem. More pictures arriving this week. Open daily with a walk and learn event May 2nd.
Very interesting if you like history. The Museum loaned some of our memorabilia for the displays.
The shirt/tie belonging to Eugene Counts, along with his discharge paper, were donated by his family. The CCC patches belonged to George Akins and donated by Juanita May.
