We’re proud to be part of Burlingame Rodeo Days, so there will be craft vendors, activities around town, and the Santa Fe Trail Rodeo beginning at 7 PM. Come spend the day in Burlingame and make a full Saturday out of it!

Whether you’re a firefighter, history buff, truck enthusiast, or just looking for a fun family day trip, there’s something for everyone.

Come help us celebrate the volunteers, members, and generations of firefighters who built 150 years of service to this community. Small-town volunteer departments don’t make it a century and a half by accident. That kind of history is built by people showing up, answering the pager at 2 AM, and putting community first year after year.

We hope to see a huge crowd today! 🇺🇸🚒

KANSAS DAY, Thu Jan 29, 2026:

Join us for Kansas Day activities open to the public at Burlingame Schuyler Museum, 8:30 - 3:00 pm.

-Old-fashioned rope making
-Old school activities
-Display presentation on the Cold War era missile base in Osage County

Activities start at 8:30 am and cycle throughout the day until 3 pm.

School children and homeschoolers welcome, as well as the general public.

The museum will close for lunch from 11 am to 12:30 pm.

Today's Quilt Show and Tell event was an outstanding success, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our attendees. With over 30 participants sharing their remarkable quilts and textile arts, the event was a true celebration of creativity and community.

Congratulations are due to Debbie Arnold and Betty Parker, winners of custom-made seam rippers from the Overbrook Quilt Connection, and Anna Miller, a first-time quilter from Missouri, who took home a quilted Christmas table runner.

Our sincere appreciation extends to everyone who played a role in making the event so enjoyable.

We plan to keep it going next year! While we don’t have a date solidified yet, we usually try to do the first or second Sunday afternoon in October.
