The Coffey County Historical Society & Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization committed to preserving Coffey County history for this and future generations. Through 14,000 sq ft of display space, the Coffey County Museum illustrates the past and present of Coffey County, Kansas. Visitors can explore pioneer exhibits, view a large antique doll collection, learn about Coffey County veterans, s

it in a restored 1896 one-room schoolhouse, research ancestors and much more. to 4:00 p.m. The museum is closed most national holidays. Admission is FREE!!!! Monetary donations are greatly appreciated! You can become a member of the Coffey County Historical Society & Museum for $5 per person per year, $15 per business per year, or a one-time fee of $100 for a lifetime membership. Please remember we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The latest issue of Timelines was sent out today! Included in this issue is the ballot for the Coffey County Historical Society (CCHS) election. Members who receive the newsletter by email will find a link to complete their ballot online.

Don't miss your chance to visit the Coffey County Museum this summer! Tomorrow is the last Saturday the museum will be open for the season, with doors open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

While you're here, be sure to see the "K is for Kansas!" traveling exhibit before it closes on Friday, August 21.

Members of the Coffey County Genealogical Society will also be available to help anyone interested in researching their family history. The museum offers access to Ancestry Library Edition and is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library, providing valuable resources for genealogy research. Stop by and discover how these tools can help uncover your family's story!

The Coffey County Genealogical Society meets tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Coffey County Museum, and everyone is welcome to attend. Membership is free, so come find out what genealogy is all about and learn more about the society. There will be a short program on how to locate headstones in cemeteries.

The museum will also be open to visitors during the meeting. While the outdoor exhibits will be closed, all indoor exhibits will be available to explore. Be sure to visit the traveling exhibit, 'K is for Kansas', before its final day on August 21!
