Thanks to everyone who came out yesterday afternoon for the opening reception for the new exhibit by Dana Majors! It was a great crowd despite the rainy weather. During the reception, Dana also did a presentation about her work which everyone enjoyed.

Today (Saturday), Dana is offering two free interactive sessions which everyone is invited to attend. At 1 PM, Dana invites museum visitors to transform the light of her Lumières on display using specially crafted hand-held lenses, prisms, and color filters. She will guide participants through fun, hands-on experimentation using these simple tools.

That same afternoon at 1:30 PM, Dana is offering visitors the chance to see the colorful surprise of their own family glass illuminated on the Janice Mason Museum walls! Any see-through glass that you can shine a flashlight through at home can be illuminated at the museum! Bring 1-3 pieces of glass to participate in this demonstration. (You will be the only handler of your glass during this fun afternoon!)

Admission to all exhibits at the Janice Mason Art Museum is always free.
