Artisans Downeast Sip and Paint Artisans Downeast Gallery has become Artisans Downeast Sip and Paint. It is the off-shoot of the former gallery but is now only the S and P business.

Opening soon (July 1, 2015) --
Artisans Downeast is an art gallery in downtown Calais, Maine with a mission to provide Washington County, Maine artists/artisans a venue to exhibit their art in an attractive, accessible location. The gallery is located on Main Street in Calais near the most well used international bridge to St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.

The gallery will exhibit many different styles of art using different media. Children's art will also be featured with no commission charged for young artists. The gallery founders are very interested and excited to cultivate talent and interest of art in young people. "Gallery Nights" and public art projects will be offered frequently at the gallery to encourage involvement and appreciation by the public. Complimentary coffee and fresh samples of delicious baked goods from the new bakery a few stores down on Main Street in Calais will be offered. The vision of Artisans Downeast's founders is to provide a welcoming, friendly, elegant environment where "real" people can visit, enjoy, and possibly purchase the beautiful works of art created by Washington County's talented artists. We believe Washington County's artists are an under-appreciated and largely undiscovered gem that deserves a setting where it can shine and be appreciated by all. Additionally, the gallery's founders' wish is to create a fair and cost-effective arrangement with artists that will allow more of Washington County's fine, talented artists to present their creative works to the world.
