On November 1, we celebrate 100 years since the launch of Fireboat 2, the Ralph J. Scott, one of the most iconic pieces of LAFD history.

Launched in 1925, this 99-foot fireboat served the Port of Los Angeles for an incredible 77 years of continuous service, fighting everything from ship fires to refinery explosions, even plowing through a sea of fire during the 1947 Markay tanker explosion.

Now preserved as a National Historic Landmark, the Ralph J. Scott remains a proud symbol of courage, innovation, and service on the water.

Join us to celebrate 100 years of this iconic vessel!
