I recently met an old man named something like Shimski at a conference. Must've been Japanese or something. He said that his doctorate work involved grammar of some sort.

Poor Asians! They're so weak in English that they get a PhD for simply learning grammar. I'm going to write a paper on this for Nature soon.

Rule no. 1 of being a graduate student

Never ever google anything.
If you're a girl, make a "Silly me" post on a Higher Studies group. If you're a boy, call your nerd friends and threaten su***de if they don't complete your entire application process for you.

This is the most efficient way. It's just Science!
