I just wanted to let you all know that there are 7 days left to shop in the store 💛
Our lease is ending, and we’ve decided not to renew for the new year. Because of that, December 26th (the day after Christmas) will be our very last day of business.
The reason is the ongoing construction immediately next door. While weekends were filled with joy and connection, the weekdays were often extremely difficult. The noise from the construction was sometimes constant and overwhelming, and there were several days when I actually had to close the store because I couldn’t hear myself think or even talk to customers. I’ll be sharing photos of the construction and a short video of the sound, so you can see and hear what daily life here has been like.
🗓️ Final Shopping Days & Hours
Friday, Dec 19 CLOSED to drive to Ocean to secure next lease.
Saturday, Dec 20: 10:00–6:00 🌟 (our last Saturday open — very festive!)
Sunday, Dec 21: 11:00–3:00
Monday, Dec 22: 11:00–6:00
Tuesday, Dec 23: 11:00–6:00
Wednesday, Dec 24 (Christmas Eve): 11:00–3:00
Christmas Day: Closed
Friday, Dec 26: 11:00–3:00 (LAST DAY)
After that, we’ll be packing up and selling display fixtures from December 27th–30th.
Our artists will be taking their work home to place in other shops, galleries, shows, festivals, and fairs — so this is truly the last chance to see and shop all of this incredible work in one place.
Any imported or fair-trade clothing and jewelry will be liquidated at deeply reduced prices — real, great deals. We’ll also be selling:
Chairs used for classes
Display fixtures
Showcases
A beautiful white solid wood checkout counter (originally $1,200, selling for $200)
And other shop furnishings
Before we close, I want to say this — and this part matters most to me.
Yes, we hosted a Rotary luncheon, helped prepare cookie bags for National Night Out with the Cambridge Police Department, held journal-making workshops, fused glass Christmas tree classes, and a book club. We were the first store in Cambridge to display a Proudly Cambridge sticker. We had a standing-room-only ribbon cutting that was incredibly emotional. We celebrated joyful Second Saturdays, hosted the Proudly Cambridge Christmas Parade viewing party, and provided space for 32 artists.
But none of that would have happened without engaged, loving community members showing up — for classes, workshops, volunteering, conversations, hugs, laughter, and friendship. We were here just as much to build community and make friends as we were to sell things.
Because we are a bit off the beaten path, I always knew that when someone walked through the door, they had put in extra effort to get here. That extra effort was never lost on me — not once. It meant more than I can properly say.
This was a really special year of meeting new people, forming real friendships, laughing a lot, hugging a lot, and feeling deeply connected to this community. I am so grateful for every single person who walked through the door.
Please come in, shop, say hello, grab a deal, and help us close this chapter with love 💛
Thank you for everything — truly.
I love you all so much.

PS I really need to add this addendum. Or comment. My landlord and the builders next door were incredibly kind in regard to the noise. The landlord actually called the builders to see how they could work around my store hours. I told them that I was in no way complaining or asking them to do anything to accommodate me because it's such an exciting project that has been a long time coming. And that they can't stop what they are doing based on me being next door because there are many days during the week when nobody at all comes in. There's no way I would ask them to adjust anything or to consider me in any way. But they did offer. It was super kind. Definitely a top-notch building company and very kind of my landlord to consider ways to help. It just didn't make sense to alter their game plan based on me being next door. My only issue was that if I had known prior to signing the lease that it would be that disruptive, I never would have chosen that location to begin with..
